A 17-year-old woman who recorded the brutal killing of George Floyd that led to a worldwide motion towards police brutality can be awarded for her bravery.
PEN America introduced on Tuesday, October 27, that it might be honouring Darnella Frazier with the annual PEN/Benenson Braveness Award.
The organisations CEO Suzanne Nossel tweeted that had it not been for her presence of thoughts and readiness to threat her personal security, the reality behind Floyd’s demise wouldn’t have been identified.
Among the many unsung heroes of 2020 is 17-year previous Darnella Frazier, who recorded the video of George Floyd’s homicide and sparked a worldwide motion for justice. Be part of @PENamerica in celebrating her at our Gala in December 8! Unsung now not. https://t.co/ZeMeR5URr6
