Former Ghana worldwide Nii Odartey Lamptey has recommended coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor on his selection for management of the Black Stars. 

C.Okay Akonnor retained Andre Ayew as captain of the Black Stars, with Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey and goalkeeper Richard Ofori appointed as his deputies.

Public opinion has been divided particularly along with his number of his vice captains, with followers of the Black Stars choosing Mubarak Wakaso.

Nonetheless, Nii Odartey Lamptey believes the choice of the coach was one of the best and got here on the proper time.

“I feel we have learnt as a Nation, and it is the best resolution and a proper time for Coach CK Akonnor to decide on his captains earlier than match,” he instructed Ahomka FM.
