The District Chief Govt (DCE) for Sekyere East in Effiduase within the Ashanti Area, Mary Boatemaa Marfo, has been fired from her put up by the President.
A letter written by a Deputy Minister of Native Authorities and Rural Improvement, Kwasi Boateng Adjei, to the Ashanti Regional Minister said that the choice by the President takes impact instantly.
The Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah, has been tasked to take oversight duty till a brand new DCE has been appointed.
Mary Boatemaa Marfo’s dismissal comes after she allegedly vowed to scale back the votes of the NPP within the Effiduase-Asokore Constituency through the December 7 polls.
In a leaked audio, the DCE was heard in a dialog with a celebration member saying that she’s going to frustrate voters on election day which can in flip cut back the votes of the NPP and the MP, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie.
The MP in instances previous has accused the DCE of irritating his efforts to develop the constituency.
In 2019, Mary Marfo had alleged that Dr Afriyie assaulted her and investigations proved her statements false.
This newest growth is seen by many within the Constituency as a transparent and deliberate effort to make the occasion and the MP unpopular.
